INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this Standard is to provide CAD specific direction to Ford Motor Company Engineering Activities, Suppliers, and contract engineering companies for the preparation of Product, Manufacturing and Service of Master Data Files, and their contents for use by Ford Motor Company and its suppliers. The primary design objective is to create a fully described Master Data File, where the contents are various combinations of 3D CAD Geometry File(s) and/or 2D CAD Drawing File(s) and Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) Annotation.
