Practice:

This practice is for use by designers of battery-operated equipment flown on space vehicles. It provides such people with information on the design of battery-operated equipment to result in a design which is safe. Safe, in this practice, means safe for ground personnel and crew to handle and use; safe for use in the enclosed environment of a manned space vehicle and safe to be mounted in adjacent un-pressurized spaces.
