Description of Driving Event:

During Space Station hardware testing at Kennedy Space Center, a technician was in the process of connecting a current probe banana type plug test lead into a breakout box when he observed an arc. The arc caused the circuit protection to trip which safed the system. The exposed plug had contacted a grounding strap which caused the arc.
