(a) These specifications are for the use of purchasing agencies in formulating specifications for purchases of aviation gasoline under contract.
(b) These specifications are not a definition of aviation gasoline, nor do they include all types of fuel satisfactory for spark-ignition aviation engines. Certain equipment or conditions of use may require fuels having special characteristics.
