PURPOSE. This order delineates the responsibilities of the Alaskan Region Airway Facilities, Air Traffic, and Flight Standards Divisions in connection with the locating of navigational aid facilities within the region. It also prescribes the organization of an interdivision team to accomplish this. This order is being updated to reflect the current organizational structure and involve the Airway Facilities Division Systems Maintenance Engineering, Establishment Engineering, and Telecommunications and Spectrum Engineering Branches, and sectors in the site selection process.
