scope:
PURPOSE.This purpose of the engineering conversion program is to provide an avenue for technical employees to enter the professional engineering series. This order restates existing policy inclusive of the U.S. office of personnel Management (OPM) Federal Personnel Manual and Handbook of Qualification Standards, and advises all interested personnel of the requirements for participation in the engineering conversion program. This program is primarily targeted for electronic and environmental support technicians.
