The responsibilities outlined below are to be used by Southern Region air traffic field .- facilities upon notification of the issuance of an FDC NOTAM establishing a temporary flight restriction for a presidential movement, hereafter referred to as an FDC Presidential TFR NOTAM. The procedures outlined below provide a process to ensure receipt and dissemination of this critical information and are supplemental to the current issue of FAA Orders 721 0.3 and 7930.2.
PURPOSE. This Order establishes policy and assigns responsibilities for dissemination of information regarding Flight Data Center (FDC) Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) that establish Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) pertaining to 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 91.141, Temporary Flight Restrictions in the Proximity of the Presidential and Other Parties. This Order precludes the need for individual Letters of Agreement between Southern Region Automated Flight Service Stations (AFSSs) and other Air Traffic Control (ATC) facilities regarding this subject.
