ATA Spec 2000 is a global aviation specification to automate the business processes and information exchange associated with aircraft parts, materiel, maintenance and reliability. This specification encompasses a wide variety of information exchange and is used broadly by the world's airlines and suppliers. Subject areas include: Provisioning, Spares and Procurement Planning, Purchase Order Administration and Invoicing, Repair Order Administration, Reliability Data Exchange, Delivery Configuration, Warranty Processing, Parts Tracking/Traceability (including use of bar coding, 2d data matrix and RFID technology) Industry Performance Metrics, Regulatory Documentation and Electronic Logbook.
