Purpose

This test procedure shall be used for the determination of the tensile strength, elongation at break, and stress at given strain of cellular and related materials. The test is conducted on test pieces of standard size and shape or on complete articles when extended at a constant rate to rupture.

The procedure allows the use of single property determinations or complete stress-strain plotting.
