scope:
This specification covers 4-wheel, 2-wheel steerable, wagon type, stake and platform trailers for general purpose use. Vehicles procured under this specification are commercial items that are required to be warranted by the manufacturer as specified in acquisition documents.
The trailer shall be one of the following types and classes, as specified (see 6.2).
Type I - For limited use, 2270 kilograms (kg) (5,000 pounds) capacity.
Type II - For highway use, 4540 kg (10,000 pounds) capacity.
Class A - Wood floor.
Class B - Formed steel floor.
