scope:
This Standard specifies the characteristics and test methods for speedometer equipment used for displaying running speeds in driving cabs of rolling stock. It does not apply to testing after maintenance of rolling stock by railway operators except for 7.1 d), nor does it apply to generator units not used for speed display in driving cabs.
NOTE: This Standard specifies the characteristics of speedometer equipment, it is not intended to be used for conducting the conformity assessment by itself.
