AIM

The aim of this agreement is to register national acceptance of the series of Allied Engineering Publications (AEP) listed in the Annex A, for the selection and application of protective paint systems based on performance requirements.

These AEPs promote a world wide market adapted to naval requirements and improve the quality and durability of the coatings.

An additional intention of these AEPs is to reinforce the need for new products following changes in regulations concerning Health/Safety and Environment (VOC, Heavy metals, biocides,...).
