1.1 This European Standard applies to design, manufacturing, installation, transportation, electrical equipment and cleaning of derinding-, skinning-, and membrane removal machines (see Figures 1 to 5). The machines described in this standard are used for derinding-, skinning- and membrane removal of meat and fish by cutting at a blade device. Derinding-, skinning-, and membrane removal machines for domestic purposes and table-top machines are not covered by this standard. This European Standard relates to: - derinding machines with tooth roll, hold down roller and blade device; - skinning- and membrane removal machines with transport- and stripper roll as well as a blade device. This standard only applies to machines which are manufactured after the date of issue of this standard. 1.2 This standard covers the following types of machines: - Open derinding machines with infeed table and a distance between the floor and the surface of the infeed table from 800 mm to 1 050 mm.
