Organization: NPFC
Publication Date: 16 July 2010
Status: inactive
Page Count: 2
scope:

Use/relationship: The Facilities Requirements Data (FRD) development process for typical shore-based and shipboard sites delineates facilities criteria and the proper capture/storage of data related to weapon systems, program office, RDT&E, training, operational, deployment site, and maintenance support equipment facilities requirements.

The FRD defines platform-specific criteria/data, independent of any current or planned facilities. Responses to FRD questions may be part of an iterative process as program technology matures and contractor responses to requirements are updated. All data provided in response to the FRD template is loaded into the Ship-Shore Aviation Requirements (SSAR) database.

1. This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement, as delineated in the contract.
