This International Standard specifies a static method for determining the performance of audible travel alarms mounted on earth-moving machines intended to warn personnel of the hazards of a machine travelling under its own power. This International Standard applies to earth-moving machinery as defined in ISO 6165 for operation on work sites and for travelling on public roads. NOTE - This International Standard only provides for the test procedures and performance criteria for audible travel alarms when installed on earth-moving machinery. Worksite requirements, along with local, national, or regional regulations, should be used to determine if an audible travel alarm shall be installed.
