This International Standard specifies a static method for determining the performance of audible travel alarms mounted on earth-moving machines intended to warn personnel of the hazards of a machine travelling under its own power. This International Standard applies to earth-moving machinery as defined in ISO 6165 for operation on work sites and for travelling on public roads. NOTE This International Standard only provides for the test procedures and performance criteria for audible travel alarms when installed on earth-moving machinery. Worksite requirements, along with local, national, or regional regulations, should be used to determine if an audible travel alarm shall be installed.
