scope:
This standard is applicable to all types of machinery for pesticide application and liquid fertilizer applicators used in agriculture, horticulture, forestry and other areas. These are called "machines" in the present standard. It specifies requirements and their verification for the design and performance of machinery with regard to minimizing the potential risk of environmental contamination. In addition, it specifies the requirements for identification of the machine and the minimum content of the instruction handbook. This part of ISO 16119 defines the general requirements to be fulfilled. The specific requirements of the different types of machines are defined in the relevant specific parts. The scope of each specific part is defined in Annex A, normative. NOTE Conformity with ISO 16119 can only be stated when the machine meets the requirements of ISO/DIS 16119-1:2010 and one of the specific Parts defined in Annex A, normative. This standard does not cover safety aspects which are dealt with in ISO 4254-6:2009.
