Purpose. This standard shall be used to determine the odor propagation of automotive interior materials (e. g. fabric, coated fabrics (vinyls), carpets, padding, insulators, felts, etc.) when subjected to elevated temperatures and high humidity.
Foreword. This test method is written to commonize the determination of odor propagation within GM. It is based on the GM Europe Engineering Standard GME 60276, SAE J1352 (GMNA), ISC-C93-001 - Test Method 17 (Isuzu).
Applicability. Automotive interior materials (e.g. fabric, coated fabrics (vinyls), carpets, padding, insulators, felts, etc.).
