This specification is used for the theoretical calculation of energy consumption by skip loader and roller contact tipper vehicles for specified work cycles.

The calculation is based on specified basic formulae with the specific values for the relevant bodywork.

The total energy consumption for a given cycle is determined by a summation of the energy requirements in the individual cycles. An example calculation for a skip loader is given in Annex A.

The representatives of the manufacturers of bodywork for skip loader and roller contact tipper vehicles collaborating in the development of this specification agree that the products do not differ fundamentally in terms of drive and drive power, but primarily in their individual functionality, equipment and innovation.
