This document describes standards for commercial and civilian use only on the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany. The general information contained in this standard may be applied to other countries, but deviating national regulations still have to be observed.
This standard is meant to serve as an addendum to existing maintenance standards (including DIN 31051 and VDI 2890, the latter taking particular consideration of the tool "sensor-carrying UAV system (UAS)").
UAV systems may include multi-rotor as well as fixed wing systems. They are always batterypowered.
