Organization: DIN
Publication Date: 1 March 2018
Status: active
Page Count: 27
ICS Code (Vibration and shock with respect to human beings): 13.160
ICS Code (Management of human resources): 03.100.30
scope:

This Technical Report provides guidelines for the required competence of persons carrying out vibration measurements to evaluate the effects of vibration on humans.

Depending on the task at hand, this competence involves preparation for the measurements, selection of the measuring equipment, performance of the measurements, as well as the analysis and evaluation of the measured values.

This Technical Report classifies knowledge of vibration measurement into three levels. As a result, vibration measurements can be carried out and evaluated according to the aim of the measuring task using vibration measuring instrumentation that meets the requirements of standards, and analyses for evaluating the area of whole-body vibration and hand-arm vibration.

The aim of this Technical Report is to ensure the required quality of measurements by avoiding errors in measurement and minimizing uncertainty of measurement.
