Scope and Purpose. This section deals with the rules, principles and methods used for specifying design requirements on technical engineering drawings by means at dimensions and notes. Its purpose is to establish uniform practices of stating and interpreting these requirements. The figures given in this standard are to illustrate meanings only. In some instances figures have been over-detailed for emphasis, and in some instances figures are not complete.
