scope:

This Standard specifies steel sheets and strips coated by a hot-dip aluminium coating (hereafter referred to as "sheets and coils").

NOTE 1 Si is contained in the composition of coating for improvement of adherence properties.

NOTE 2 The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows:

ISO 5000: 2005 Continuous hot-dip aluminium-silicon-coated cold-reduced carbon steel sheet of commercial and drawing qualities (MOD)

The symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/ lEC Guide 21-1.
