scope:

This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the absorption refrigerating machines, absorption water chilling and water heating packages and absorption heat pumps (hereafter referred to as "refrigerating machines") having the refrigerating capacity of 25 kW or over per a single machine among those which perform cooling or heating of water, constituting of an absorption refrigeration cycle with generators (including high temperature generators, and low temperature generators) condenser, absorber, evaporator, etc. by using water as a refrigerant and lithium-bromide water solution as an absorbent solution and supplying heating sources to the generator or high temperature genera tor.

NOTE 1 For heating sources, there are city gas, liquefied petroleum gas, oil, steam, hot water for heating and exhaust gas for heating.

NOTE 2 Unless otherwise specified, the pressure described in this Standard refers to a gauge pressure.
