scope:

This Standard specifies the requirements for the safety for children on cords of indoor blinds, screens (except roll up style blinds) and shades for household use (hereafter referred to as indoor blinds).

This Standard is applicable to the operating cord, pull cord, auxiliary cord, revolution cord and bottom cord (hereafter referred to as cords) attached to the following indoor blinds.

- Venetian blind

- Roller blind

- Vertical blind

- Pleated shade

- Honeycomb shade

- Roman shade

- Sliding panel curtain

NOTE Annex B shows the matters to be included in the instruction manual regarding the safety for children on cords of roll up style blinds for reference.
