SCOPE TASK GROUP

Objective: This task group was charged with revising the scope to clarify that ULE 106 does not cover emergency lighting (including pathway marking), or signs and signals (including exit signs, traffic lights, car tail lights, etc.) or chemiluminescent technologies.

The members will also revise the scope to clarify that the standard also includes portable luminaires, nightlights, non-electrical light sources, and luminaires with integral controls (e.g., motion detectors) but not provided with independent controls
