Material Description. This specification provides bonding system requirements for the adhesion performance of encapsulation material e.g., polyvinyl chloride (PVC), reaction injection molded (RIM), ethylene propylene diene (EPDM), thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), etc., to glass in a modular glass assembly.

Part testing is to be accomplished using both methods, see 3.4.1 and 3.4.2, discussed in this standard.

Applicability. Applications subject to this performance requirement are fixed encapsulated glass such as automotive quarter (side) glass.
