Purpose. Determine statically the total airflow available from the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) system, as installed in a vehicle under various operating modes. This method uses a vehicle interior for the HVAC system discharge air.

Extraction and measurement of the body airflow is increased or decreased in order to maintain a zero body pressure.

Foreword. Not applicable.

Applicability. For all passenger vehicles with HVAC systems.
