Purpose. This test procedure evaluates the operating performance and durability characteristics of seat systems that incorporate the Easy (EZ) Entry feature.
Foreword. The EZ Entry seat maneuver is utilized in car and truck products to gain access to the rear seating or cargo areas of the passenger compartment. The maneuver includes folding the seat back forward, sliding the seat to the far forward position, returning the seat back to the upright position, and pushing the seat rearward to the specified lock position.
Applicability. This procedure applies to the front row for all GM passenger cars and light duty trucks that have seats with the easy entry adjuster feature.
