Diese Norm legt ein Verfahren zum Bestimmen des relativen Streuvermögens von Weißpigmenten in Graupasten, die durch Dispergieren der Weißpigmente in Schwarzpasten unter festgelegten Bedingungen hergestellt werden, fest. Dabei wird das relative Streuvermögen Sr aus dem Normfarbwert Y der Graupasten ermittelt. Im Folgenden wird ρ∞ = Y/100 Reflexionsgrad genannt, da Y/100 von Graupasten praktisch mit dem Reflexionsgrad ρ in der Mitte des sichtbaren Spektrums übereinstimmt.
