The purpose of this practice is to provide advice for the selection and use of non-lethal electric security fences to deter, detect, and delay an unauthorized breach of the perimeter.

The intended applications of this practice are detention and correctional facilities.

Units-The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard. The tolerance on physical dimensions is 610 % unless otherwise specified.
