Die Korndichte wird als Basisgröße
a) zur Bestimmung
- des Porenanteils, nach DIN EN ISO 17892‐2 und DIN 18125‐2 sowie DIN 18126,
- des Wassergehaltes durch das Luftpyknometer, nach DIN 18121‐2,
- der Schrumpfgrenze, nach DIN EN ISO 17892‐12,
- der Korngrößenverteilung
b) zur Auswertung des Proctorversuchs, nach DIN 18127 und
c) zur Auswertung des Kompressionsversuche
Die Versuche mit dem Kapillarpyknometer und dem Gaspyknometer werden in DIN EN ISO 17892‐3 beschrieben.
