This guidance applies to all LU employees who could potentially receive a bomb or similar threat (e.g., the threat of a chemical attack or other mass casualty event) but is particularly relevant to station staff, train operators, Service Control and London Underground Control Centre (LUCC) staff who will have to respond appropriately to an assessed threat

This guidance does not apply to situations where an individual is threatened (e.g., as part of a dispute over a ticket); although an individual being threatened must still be reported to police for their follow up action

Purpose

This guidance document describes the actions that should be taken by London Underground (LU) employees should they:

(i) Receive a threat to or at their location.

(ii) Be required to respond to a threat which has been assessed and categorised by Police.
