Purpose. Provide validation of the maximum performance capability of a vehicle Air Conditioning (A/C) system by reproducible measurements in a climatic wind tunnel (CWT). This test includes optional subjective comfort in Appendix A.
Applicability. All passenger vehicles with an A/C system. Specific test cycle for Electric Vehicle (EV) Rechargeable Energy Storage System (RESS) Propulsion in Cycle 5.
