Milk and milk products — Guidelines for the application of in-line infrared spectrometry

This International Standard provides guidance in the use of infrared spectrometry in the use of in-line and on-line applications for dairy processing. These applications are distinct to those covered in the document "Milk and milk products - Guidelines for the Application of Near Infrared Spectrometry, ISO 21543/IDF 20, 1. Applications include but are not limited to:
- determination of protein, fat and total solids in liquid milk using mid and near infrared spectrometry;
- determination of protein, fat and moisture in solid or semi-solid products such as milk powder and butter and liquid dairy streams using near infrared spectrometry.
