This specification establishes the requirements for copper, copper alloy, copper-clad bronze (CCB), copper-clad stainless steel (CCS), and copper-clad alloy steel (CAS) materials, sheet, and strip, in various thicknesses, for use as electrostatic or electromagnetic shielding for insulated power, control, instrumentation, and communication cables.

Units-The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.
The only exception is grain size, which is reported in SI (mm) units.
