This Standard specifies the methods for testing the aptitude of railway signalling parts (equipment and parts for railway signalling systems) at a temperature of their service environment. It is not applicable to:

a) testing involving temperature cycling;

b) testing for assessment of durability, weather resistance, and corrosion resistance;

c) testing regarding exposure to temperatures during transportation and storage;

d) equipment and parts to be installed on railway vehicles.
