AIM

The aim of this NATO standardization agreement (STANAG) is to respond to the following interoperability requirements.

Interoperability Requirements:

1. To establish a standardized approach to ensure the quality of food processors and food suppliers during all field operations.

2. To establish a standardized approach to food defence for both food producers and suppliers.

3. To provide a standardized template for audit reports for both food suppliers and food producers.

4. To provide standardized guidance on food production standards for contracted and military food services producers.

5. To establish minimum requirements for food production facilities in terms of safety, sanitation and food quality.
