Specifically, procedures may assist the AAS installation team meet airfield recovery timelines when installing a setback AAS. This publication does not replace mandatory compliance instructions, but augments those found in the T.O. The T.O. takes precedence if contradictions are found. This publication describes required resources, planning factors, expeditious installation of contingency aircraft arresting systems supporting emergency launch and recovery of fighter aircraft.
