scope:

The responsibilities for the Medical Logistics functions are specified in AFI 41-209, Medical Logistics Support. This Air Force Manual (AFMAN) provides DMLSS procedures used in support of materiel, including War Reserve Materiel (WRM) in the Air Force Working Capital Fund/Medical-Dental Division (AFWCF/MDD) and non-Air Force Working Capital Fund materiel. The procedures in this manual apply to all DMLSS users.

Purpose.

The DMLSS Users Manual provides Medical Logistics and other users with the procedures necessary to use the system effectively. This manual also provides high-level security procedures to minimize risks to the operational environment of the DMLSS system in accordance with Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 8500.01, Cybersecurity, and DoDI 8510.01, Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT).
