Fixtures designed and manufactured to this specification and the associated specification sheets are intended for use in a naval shipboard environment, both interior and exterior of the ship's structure, to provide light during both normal and emergency conditions. The fixtures are able to perform in high temperatures, after shock events, under constant vibration, and in casualty situations. The extensive electrical performance testing ensures the electromagnetic radiation of current and future fixture designs will not adversely interfere with the advanced communications and combat systems employed on multiple platforms.
