HP strategies should consider all levels of the Social-Ecological Model and Department of Defense Instruction 1010.10, Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. An individual's health status is dependent upon the collective behaviors, attitudes, knowledge, and beliefs of family and community. The primary focus is on the Regular Air Force through worksite interventions at the squadron level, and by administering programs and services in locations where the target population lives, works, and plays. The emphasis is on high population reach programs, policies, interventions and strategies per the Social-Ecological Model.
