scope:
- The equipments covered by this specification shall be two airborne search radars which shall provide means for searching for and detecting surface targets. The AN/APS-115B shall be a dual radar set for use where full azimuth coverage must be obtained by a dual (fore and aft) installation. The AN/APS-122 shall be a single radar set for use where the desired azimuth coverage can be obtained with a single antenna.
intended Use:
- The equipment specified herein is intended for use as an airborne search radar, particularly for antisubmarine warfare operations.
