PTI M55.1
Specification for Grouting of Post-Tensioned Structures
Organization: | PTI |
Publication Date: | 1 August 2019 |
Status: | active |
Page Count: | 64 |
scope:
This specification provides minimum requirements for the selection, design, and installation of cementitious grouts for steel post-tensioned systems used in concrete construction.
The purpose of the grout is to provide corrosion protection to the prestressing steel and in bonded post-tensioning (PT) applications to develop bond between the prestressing steel and the surrounding concrete.
This specification covers only cementitious grouts; other corrosion protection materials such as polymers, waxes, and greases are not addressed.
Vacuum grouting is beyond the scope of this document. For those interested in this area, refer to European and British documents.1
