The standard establishes international limits for noise prod uced by rotating electrical machines intended for general ap plications, where the electromagnetic design has not been li mited to obtain a reduced noise level. It applies to machine s in the following power and aspect ranges: 1 kW to 400 kw and 600 rev/min to 3750 rev/min.
