This Standard applies to random width shingles, shakes, and remanufactured shingle products manufactured from Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata D. Donn).
This Standard specifies minimum requirements for the quality of the products in terms of sizes, tolerances, and characteristics.
This Standard includes appendices that are not to be construed as mandatory parts of this Standard. These appendices provide recommendations concerning the application of the products and descriptions of current industry packing methods.
This Standard has been prepared using yard pound (Imperial) units of measure. For convenience, a conversion table to metric units is attached as Appendix H.
