Immunity of TV and VCR Tuners to Internally Generated Harmonic Interference from Signals in the Band 535 kHz to 30 MHz

inactive
Organization: CTA
Publication Date: 1 February 1989
Status: inactive
Page Count: 25
scope:

Objective

To determine the level of interfering signal which will generate harmonics in the tuner, causing interference 40 dB below a desired signal at the intermediate frequency (IF) output of a tuner under test.

The interfering input signal is referenced to a 75 ohm load and the tuner is then substituted for this load.

The procedure described below is appropriate for any interference generation within the tuner when a proper choice of filters, signal generators, and other equipment is made.
