The objective of DS/INF 28560, RFID in libraries, is to establish guidelines for the implementation of RFID in Danish libraries for the handling of library materials. The document is an elaboration of DS/INF 163-1:2005, RFID Data Model for Libraries, which is withdrawn. At the same time it constitutes a follow up on ISO 28560 and provides a Danish profile based on Part 1: Data elements and general guidelines for implementation and Part 3: Fixed length encoding. In addition, this standard contains recommendations and guidelines for the use of RFID in libraries in relation to the protection of privacy.
