Description of Driving Event:

The Constellation Program needed a way to handle concerns that could not be resolved by individual projects within the program, e.g., the Ares, Orion, Ground Ops, Mission Ops, and Extravehicular Activity (EVA) projects. An example of such a concern was the tolerance buildup on the Integrated Stack, which was driving modifications to platforms in the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB). The CxSIP arbitrated among the projects and decided to accept the risk incurred in not modifying the platforms.
