Foreword
This draft amendment to the European Standard EN 60335-2-39:2003 was prepared by the Technical Committee CENELEC TC 61, Safety of household and similar electrical appliances. It is submitted to the Unique Acceptance Procedure.
A proposal to amend EN 60335-2-39:2003, document CLC/TC 61(SEC)1742, was discussed during the Brussels meeting of CENELEC TC 61 in June 2010, when it was decided to submit a draft for an amendment to the Unique Acceptance Procedure.
This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CENELEC by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EU Directive(s).
