This standard applies to all approved providers who undertake medical assessments of people who work on the LU network. This standard applies to those who have a track work element in their work or who undertake other tasks which are classified as safety critical.

Purpose

The purpose of this standard is to provide details of the required level of competency of organisations conducting medical assessments. This medical assessment applies to all personnel who are required to have such assessments prior to them starting work within the London Underground (LU) network and at specified intervals during their contract of employment.
